Things to know about the space:

  • There is a code to get in the front door which is in your reminder email. The door to enter is directly on Bloor Street beside Midoco Art and Office Supply Store.

  • The space is on the third floor and unfortunately there is no elevator. There are about 15 stairs with a hand rail, then a landing and then another 15 stairs to get up. If you need assistance up and down the stairs I can absolutely help- just send me a message.

  • Please wait to come into the building until at least 5 minutes before your appointment. There is no waiting room and we are trying to avoid cross over between patients.

Osteopathic manual therapy is a holistic, hands on treatment that works to influence all systems of the body. Viewing the body as a total, interconnected unit, osteopathy can restore movement and reduce pain by targeting the areas of tension and rigidity. It incorporates gentle manipulation of soft tissue (fascia, muscles, tendons, ligaments), the skeletal system, the viscera (organs) and the craniosacral system.

The practitioner uses a refined sense of touch to determine the areas of dysfunction. Osteopathy recognizes the connectedness of mind, body and spirit and works to facilitate the person’s innate self- healing mechanism.

Osteopathic treatments are performed with the patient wearing comfortable clothing. In the first appointment, a thorough health history is collected along with a postural assessment incorporating some orthopedic tests. This helps to determine what the primary issues are that need to be addressed in treatment.

She has been interested in health and healing for many years and has been an RMT since 2012.

Meagan is a member of the Ontario Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners (OAO) and in good standing with the College of Massage Therapy of Ontario. She can provide receipts for Registered Massage Therapy (RMT) and Osteopathic Manual Therapy (OMT).
